This does not go down well with Iona, who challenges Maria to a karate match in order to get her stay, but ends up losing. The next day, as Iona goes with Maria to see her off, their time together is cut short when Hosshiiwa appears with a Kung-fu Saiark, which Iona manages to defeat alongside the other Cures. Having watched her battle, Maria happily leaves the city in the care of Iona and her friends.
