Since he is not ambitious, he is quite satisfied with his position as an office assistant in Yik Tung Garment Factory. He is despised by his father as a low-minded fellow. KAN is simple and he is not skilful at tackling with people. Though he is often made fun of by his colleagues, he does not care much and goes on his happy-go-lucky way. His carefree manner inadvertently offends his boss LAW CHUN YIP, thus causing a deadening wound for his promotion. Yet many of KAN's former classmates are holding high positions. One day, he meets his classmate SZE MIU KWAN who encourages KAN to further studying in his spare time.
