Tim is approached by Carol Weller about her grown up daughter Stephanie - a long term patient of Tim's. Stephanie is retarded but she and her new boyfriend Mark (also retarded) desperately want a baby. Carol knows they can't take care of baby and fears she'll be stuck with it.
