Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo sneaks into the palace but is cornered by Laxmibai and Raghunath. Rao Dulajo informs Laxmibai that Damodar is held hostage at the commissionerate along with the missionaries. On the other hand, Hamilton and the other officers ill-treat Damodar. However, he gets the shock of his life seeing Laxmibai barge into the commissionerate!
