He and his mother, TING SAU LIN, are interdependent on each other. LIN works in the Shui Kee Sweet Soup Shop responsible for cooking sweet soup. WONG leads an ordinary life. He always thinks of his childhood sweetie, WONG KEI FUNG. FUNG’s boss has once again turned down her promotion for the reason that she lacks academic qualification. In order to save enough money to study abroad, FUNG works as a vendor at night and at the same time gives lessons to WONG. LIN retrieves from the bank 43 gold coins and put them at home. The coins are set aside for WONG’s wedding in future. FUNG is thrilled that a famous university in the States has enrolled her. FUNG resigns……
