With his girlfriend ALLY acting as his defense attorney, NICK recounts how it all happened…. NICK and his assistant LIU CHI KAN inspected business at his buddy CHENG KA CHEONG’s publishing house, where he met CHEONG’s wife OI CHUN and daughter LOK TUNG. Learning that the wife suffered a depression, NICK agreed to offer CHEONG a loan against the opposition of his father WU KOON TING and his staff KAU WING HANG, who brought the bailiff to seal up the company. CHEONG tried to kill himself by burning charcoal at home which left him in a coma. MAN, a social worker from the Children’s Home, brought TUNG to visit her father in hospital. NICK kept an eye on the meeting. CHUN arrived shortly, wailing while holding CHEONG in her arms. She disappeared shortly, and was later saved from jumping off the building by MAN and NICK……
