During the duel, Siddhartha only defends and refuses to attack Devdutt. He relents only after guru Kaundilya threatens to disown him as a student. Siddhartha fights and wins the duel. King Shudhodhan decides to celebrate Siddhartha's victory. Princess Yashodhara visits the palace to iron out the differences between her father and her uncle King Shudhodhan. She says that she wants to reunite the two estranged families.
