Finding smashed pictures of a smiling Krystle, he calls her doctor, fearing Krystle's mental illness may be developing. Adam withdraws into a drunken stupor, alienating his family and Dana. Intent on using Dana to help him regain his son, he apologizes for his behavior. But when Dana packs her things and leaves him, he suddenly realizes how much he truly loves her.
